What do *you* mean by "the occult" and "occultism", and how would you define "black magic"? I'm just curious, because these are kind of trigger words and I wonder what people think they mean.
"Occultism" is pretty broad, encapsulates "New Age" practices, and refers from everything to oracular systems (like tarot) to Hermetics to ceremonial magic. It's just foolish to be afraid of that label, because there's probably nothing overtly scary about Dion Warwick reading tarot. Specificity helps...
